Early YearsBarbara Jackson was born December 25, 1961, and is (almost) a Wake County native, having moved there at age three with her parents, Phyllis S. Jackson and the late Kenneth W. Jackson. She was raised in Raleigh and graduated from Athens Drive Senior High School in 1980.
