We are pleased to announce the appointment of our own Judge Wanda Bryant to the North Carolina Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice (NCCALJ). Judge Bryant, who has served on the North Carolina Court of Appeals since 2001, will be serving on the NCCALJ Public Trust and Confidence Committee.

The NCCALJ is an independent, multidisciplinary commission that evaluates the judicial system and makes recommendations on ways to strengthen the courts. Judge Bryant will represent the Court of Appeals along with Chief Judge Linda McGee at the NCCALJ.

In addition, Judge Bryant has accepted an invitation to become a Fellow of the American Bar Association Foundation. Membership in the Fellows is by nomination of a member and election by the Board, and is limited to the top one percent of lawyers. She was also elected a member of the American Law Institute. Another select group, membership in the American Law Institute is open only to the most distinguished attorneys, judges and law professors. We are very proud of Judge Bryant.
