The Mecklenburg County legal community celebrated the district courts' 50th anniversary at the courthouse on Friday, Oct. 7. The evening honored the achievements of the Judicial Branch since becoming a unified court system and establishing the district courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts 50 years ago in 1966.
