The North Carolina Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice (NCCALJ) has released a new video promoting the NCCALJ's work. The video highlights the Commission's commitment to ensuring that our courts are fair, accessible, and effectively managed for the people of North Carolina.

Earlier this year, the NCCALJ completed a 15-month comprehensive review of our state's court system. A ceremony was held at the Supreme Court on March 15, 2017, to present the Commission's final report to Chief Justice Mark Martin.

The Chief Justice recently announced Judicial Branch support for the NCCALJ's top legislative recommendation, Juvenile Reinvestment. Both chambers of the General Assembly have shown strong support for Juvenile Reinvestment. The Senate included a Raise the Age provision in its budget, and HB 280, Juvenile Justice Reinvestment Act, passed the House by a vote of 104 to 8.
