MORE INFORMATION
The Court of Appeals is North Carolina's intermediate appellate court. Fifteen judges hear cases in panels of three. The Court of Appeals reviews the proceedings that occurred in the trial courts for errors of law or legal procedure; it decides only questions of law - not questions of fact. Established in 1967, the 50th anniversary of the Court of Appeals continues to unite members of the legal and judicial community with North Carolinians across the state. For more information on how the North Carolina courts are commemorating this historic anniversary, or to request a speaker to talk about the role and importance of the Judicial Branch and court systems at your next event, please visit Celebrate.NCcourts.org.
