Governor Cooper Announces Judicial Appointments to Districts 16A and 29B
Governor Roy Cooper has announced the following judicial appointments to superior court districts 16A and 29B.

Governor Roy Cooper has announced the following judicial appointments:

Stephan Futrell as superior court judge in District 16A (Anson, Hoke, Richmond, and Scotland counties). He will fill the vacancy created by Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Richard Brown, who is retiring.
- District Court Judge Peter Knight as superior court judge in District 29B (Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania counties). Judge Knight will fill the vacancy created by Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Mark Powell, who retired last month.
