MSC Rule 8(a)(3)(7) and FFS Rule 8(a)(9) provides for a fee to be assessed for mediator certifications and renewal of certifications. Fees provide not only for administration of the certification process, but also cover the costs of operating the Commission and its office.
- The fee to become a certified superior court mediator or family financial mediator is currently set at $140.00.
- The fee for dual certification (both MSC and FFS) is set at $200.00.
The fee is prorated quarterly for the first year (see Prorated Mediator Certification Fee Table.) In addition to the prorated certificate fee, the Commission charges a processing fee. Applicants who have completed their training within a year of submitting their application are charged a processing fee of $40.00. Applicants whose training was completed over a year before submitting their application, are charged a $50.00 processing fee.
