Clerk Mediation Program Certification

Certification is required of all mediators participating in the Clerk Mediation Program.

Only certified Clerk Mediation Program mediators are eligible to mediate estate and guardianship disputes referred by clerks of superior court. An applicant for Clerk Mediation Program certification must already be certified by the Commission as either an MSC (superior court) or FFS (district court) mediator. Applicants must also complete a 10-hour training program on estate and guardianship law, the aging process, and program rules.

Please forward the original of your application and copies of your attachments to the Commission. Please keep a copy of your application for your records. Applications are typically processed within two weeks of receipt, if not sooner.

Certification criteria are set forth in Clerk Certification Requirements Rule 8.
