The Court Administrator for Judicial District 39 is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing overall court operations, resources, and activities within the district.

The office of the Court Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the policies of the Senior Resident Superior Court Judge and the Chief District Court Judge are carried out to improve the administration of justice through professional management of court operations within the local courts of Judicial District 39 (Lincoln and Cleveland Counties).

The Trial Court Administrator for Judicial District 39 is responsible for scheduling all civil Superior Court matters filed within Judicial District 39 for trial. Cases having reached maturity will receive a Trial Scheduling Notice from the Trial Court Administrator’s office to begin the case management process.

The Trial Court Administrator for Judicial District 39 is responsible for the calendaring of all civil Superior Court matters including motions that are filed within Judicial District 39. Civil Superior Court cases in which motions need to be scheduled for hearing are required to follow the outlined administrative process below.

Orders requiring the signature of a Superior Court Judge in the criminal and civil Superior Courts of Judicial District 39 should be submitted to the Office of the Trial Court Administrator by emailing dist39.superiorcourtorders@nccourts.org.

• Joint orders for submission must include the signatures and/or an affidavit of approval from all parties. Orders not reflecting all the same will be returned to the submitting party.
• Signature lines for any Superior Court Judge on an order must be displayed on a page containing verbiage of the submitted order. Orders displaying signature lines attached as a separate page will be returned to the submitting party.
• Physical copies of any signed order can be obtained by contacting the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court.
